Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. We develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds and raise funds for pediatric research. Our members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged and care for the sick. Working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. And along the way, club members share friendship and laughter.
We are a community service organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. We do this by developing fellowship, networking, education, leadership and community service opportunities for our volunteer members to better our community through all kinds of hands-on projects, with special emphasis on child development and safety and youth leadership training through service, and by supporting other community organizations.
The Fort Myers Kiwanis Club was the first service club in southwest Florida, established on April 28th, 1922. Our first and foremost focus is helping Young Children in the Fort Myers area. Our club has many rich traditions and much to offer prospective members who want to get involved in helping children in our community. Our club meetings provide excellent networking opportunities, social interaction and fellowship. We have great programs and speakers to compliment our fine lunch. If you are looking for an opportunity to get involved and help young children, please come to a meeting or contact us.
You are welcome to attend any of our meetings to learn more about us.
We meet at the historic Kiwanis Hall at 1634 Woodford Avenue in downtown Fort Myers every Wednesday at 12 Noon.
2015 sees the redesign of our website. Take a look around and let us know what you think.
Lt. Governor Harris Segel has scheduled the first District Council Meeting for Tuesday, October 6th at Kiwanis Hall.
